There has been much debate over which psychotherapy is most effective and why. Metaanalysis shows that ALL psychotherapies are helpful. So called 'Empirically validated treatments' are no more effective than other forms of psychotherapies. The most important factor in all therapies seem to be the clinician and the type of therapeutic alliance between the patient and therapist.
